Education/ Experience:
- BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical /Metallurgy Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in automotive APQP / PPAP quality process,
- Experience in handling Aluminium and iron castings, machined parts, forged parts etc will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of QMS/EMS
- Experience in manufacturing processes and Quality system.
- Experience in Supplier Selection processes.
- Experience in project management.
- Good Communication and presentation skills
- Self confidence, self-driven, energetic and positive attitude
The Responsibilities:
- The SQA is actively involved in all supplier quality activities from supplier selection thru on-going performance monitoring. Ensures that the supplier delivers the required quality assurance performance.
- Performs all quality assurance activities in accordance with documented Volvo guidelines and Instructions.
- Manages portfolio of suppliers as assigned by Supplier Quality Group manager. Responsible for the quality of parts shipped by that supplier to any Volvo location.
- The SQE is supplier, part and process oriented
- Is an active member in the supplier selection and business award decision
- Reports to the Manager of the group
