Punjab National Bank, India’s first Swadeshi Bank, commenced its operations on April 12, 1895 from Lahore, with an authorised capital of Rs 2 lac and working capital of Rs 20,000. During the long history of the Bank, 9 banks have been merged with PNB. The financial year 2019- 20 was significant in view of the announcement of amalgamation of Public sector Banks wherein Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India amalgamated with Punjab National Bank with effect from April 1, 2020.

Manager (Risk):
Obtained Bachelor/Masters in Math/ Statistics/ Economics/FRM/ PRM/ DTIRM/ MBA (Finance)/ CA/ ICWA/ CFA/ PGPBF minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.
Manager (Credit):
Obtained CA/ ICWA/ MBA or PGDM or equivalent post-graduation degree/ diploma from any AICTE approved institute with a minimum of 60% marks.
Manager (Treasury):
Obtained MBA (Finance) or equivalent from a recognized university/ institute or CA/ ICWA/ CFA/ CAIIB/ Diploma in Treasury Management/ PGPBF with minimum of 60%
Manager (Law):
Candidates must complete Degree (Law) from a recognized University.
Manager (Civil):
Obtained B.E/ B.Tech (Civil Engineering) from a recognized University.
Manager (Economics):
Obtained PG Degree (Economics) from a recognized university
Manager (HR):
Obtained Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Personnel Management/ HRD/ HRM with minimum 60% of marks from a recognized University.
Manager (Architect):
Obtained Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized University.
Senior Manager (Risk):
