Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
1+ years of experience on maintaining, configuring and customizing the SABA LMS platform
Knowledge of learning and development processes and best practices.
Understanding of software design principles and methodology.
Experience in gathering requirements, analyzing business needs, and translating them into effective LMS solutions.
Familiarity with LMS administration, including user roles and permissions, course catalog management, learning paths, and certifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with testing methodologies and techniques for LMS configurations.
Experience with system maintenance, upgrades, and support processes.
Familiarity with SCORM, AICC, or other e-learning standards is a plus.

About the Opportunity:

As a LMS (SABA) Configuration Engineer, your role will involve working with the SABA Learning Management System (LMS) to configure and customize various aspects according to the organization’s training and development needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders, including HR, training departments, and IT, to understand their requirements and translate them into effective LMS solutions.

You are great at:

LMS Configuration: Utilize the SABA LMS platform to configure and maintain various components, such as user roles and permissions, course catalogs, learning paths, certifications, assessments, and reporting structures. This involves understanding business processes, configuring workflows, setting up rules, and security parameters to align with organizational requirements.
Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements for training and development initiatives. Analyze requirements and recommend configuration options within the LMS. Translate complex training needs into technical solutions and workflows.
Course and Content Management: Manage the creation, organization, and maintenance of training content within the LMS. Configure and upload e-learning courses, videos, documents, and other learning materials. Ensure content is categorized, tagged, and aligned with the appropriate target audiences and learning objectives.
Customization and Integration: Customize the LMS by creating custom fields, templates, workflows, and reports to meet specific business requirements. Integrate the LMS with other systems such as HRIS, performance management, and talent management systems to ensure data synchronization and streamline processes.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of the LMS configurations and functionalities to ensure they meet the specified requirements. Create test cases, execute tests, and document results. Identify and resolve any issues or defects that arise during testing.
User Support and Training: Provide user support and training to administrators, instructors, and learners on using the LMS system effectively. Create user documentation, training materials, and job aids to support end-users in navigating and utilizing the LMS functionalities.
System Maintenance and Upgrades: Assist in the ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of the LMS system. Collaborate with IT and vendors to address system-related issues, perform routine system checks, and ensure data integrity.
Stay Updated with LMS Enhancements: Keep abreast of the latest features and updates in the SABA LMS platform. Evaluate new functionalities and enhancements and recommend their adoption to improve the learning and development experience.
