IGCAR was established in the year 1971, under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The centre is engaged in broad based multidisciplinary programme of scientific research and advanced engineering directed towards the development of Fast Breeder Reactor technology.
Fast Breeder Test Reactor based on unique mixed Plutonium Uranium Carbide fuel, First of its kind in the world and KAMINI Reactor, the only operating Reactor in the World using U233 fuel are successfully operated. The design of 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor is completed and the construction is in progress.

Salary:

Eligibility Criteria:
Technical Officer:
- B.Arch with minimum 60% marks with valid registration with Council of Architecture
- BE/ ME Degree in Safety Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR
- BE/ B.Tech in Civil/ Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks
Stipendary Trainee Cat-I:
- Diploma in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks OR
- B.Sc (Chemistry/Physics) with minimum 60% marks
Stipendary Trainee Cat-II:
- Minimum 60% marks in SSC with Science, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology
- ITI Certificate in relevant trades.
Upper Division Clerk:
- A degree of a recognized university or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks
- Minimum speed of 30 wpm in typewriting in English
- Knowledge of computer data processing
Stenographer:
- Matriculation or equivalent with 50% marks
- A speed of 80 wpm in English stenography
- Typing speed of 30 wpm in English
- Knowledge of computer data processing
Age limit(As on 17/06/2018):
- Technical Officer: Below 26 years
- Stipendary Trainee Cat-I: Below 24 years
- Stipendary Trainee Cat-II: Below 22 years

Selection Process:
