BE/ B.Tech – CSE/ IT/ ECE; ME/ M.Tech/ MCA
Requirements:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- In-depth knowledge of requirements management and requirements engineering principles
- Minimum 3 years’ industry experience for Bachelor or 2 years for Master in embedded system designs, preferably in automotive industry developing real-time embedded systems
- At least 1 years experience as requirements engineering at system or software level
- Communication and moderation skills
- Good knowledge of embedded software and system development
- Good knowledge of requirements management standard process
- Experience in use of Requirements Management Tool “DOORS”, Doors DXL script language and Doors exchange mechanism
- Configuration management rules and tools especially baselining
Job Description:
The Requirements Engineer is responsible for collecting, structure and monitore the stakeholder requirements during the complete lifecycle processes. The Requirements engineer must be capable of analyzing requirements and breakdown/rewrite stakeholder requirements in order to ensure clearness and testability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define Requirement Management plan within the specific project
- Lead the requirement process from collecting stakeholder requirements until serial production
- Train, coach and support stakeholder (e.g. Functional Owner, Project Leaders, Testers) on requirement analysis and tool usage
- Setup and maintain DOORS infrastructure (e.g. formal modules, link modules etc.) for the project and create requirement baselines
- Write and standardize requirements
- Clarify ambiguous requirements with internal or external customer
- Ensure availability of customer requirement specifications for all project stakeholders in DOORS format
- Distribute customer requirements to stakeholder (e.g. Functional Owner, Project Manager) for analysis and derivation of system requirements
- Clarify ambiguous requirements with internal or external customer
- Track and report missing analysis information
- Track and report completeness of traceability/linking
- Implement formal reviews of technical requirement modules and plan & track content reviews
- Setup and maintain RE specific statistics and report reguarlary (e.g. RE newsletter, Message of the day)
Skills:
- Qualification for requirements engineers, e.g. “IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering”
- Configuration management rules and tools especially baselining
- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
