GRSE is a Shipbuilding Company in India under the administrative control of the MOD and primarily adhere to the Shipbuilding Requirements of the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard. In addition to GRSE’s Warship Building Capabilities, it is engaged in Engineering and Engine production activities.
As a part of GRSE’s Engineering Division, it manufactures Deck Machinery Items, Pre-Fabricated Portable Steel Bridges and Marine Pumps. GRSE’s Shipbuilding Division contributes a significant majority of it’s revenue from operations. GRSE had derived 81.23%, 75.10%, 79.09% and 83.33% of it’s Gross Revenue from operations in 30 Sep 17, Fiscals 2017, 2016 and 2015 respectively from it’s Shipbuilding Division.

Stipend:
- Trade Apprentice (Fresher): 1st yr: Rs.6,000/-, 2nd yr: Rs.6,600/- PM
- Trade Apprentice (Ex-ITI): Rs. 7,000/- PM
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs.15,000/- PM
- Technician Apprentice: Rs.10,000/- (Kolkata), Rs.9,000/- (Ranchi) PM

Eligibility Criteria:
For Graduate Apprentice:
- Candidates should complete a Degree in Engineering or Technology in the following respective subject fields granted by a Statutory University
Discipline & Subject fields in Engineering:
- Mechanical – Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical & Production Engineering
- Electrical – Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Computer Science & Information Technology – Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology
- Civil – Civil Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, Structural Engineering
For Technician Apprentice:
- Candidates should complete a Diploma in Engineering in the following respective subject fields granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government/ by University
Discipline & Subject fields in Diploma Engineering:
- Mechanical – Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical & Production Engineering
- Electrical – Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Note:
- Candidates who have passed Degree in Engineering/ Technology examination in the calendar year 2017, 2018 or 2019 are only eligible.
- Candidates who possess work experience of one year or more are not eligible.
- Students who have completed Post Graduate qualification in Engineering (ME/ M.Tech/ MBA) are not eligible.
For Trade Apprentice (Ex-ITI):
- Candidates should have passed All India Trade Test (AITT) for Craftsmen Training Scheme and possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Govt. of India in the respective feeder trade mentioned below

- Candidates should pass Class 10th standard/ Madhyamik or equivalent examination with ITI (NTC)/ NCVT in Fitter, Welder (Gas & Electric), Electrician, Pipe Fitter, Machinist trade
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the merit list, merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination. Candidates will be called for document verification in the order of merit.

For Trade Apprentice:
Candidates must register themselves to the Apprenticeship Training Portal of MSDE, Govt. of India (www.apprenticeship.gov.in) before applying GRSE online application
For Graduate/Technician Apprentice:
Candidates must enrol themselves to the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal of MHRD (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) before applying GRSE online application
STEP-II (Application):
After completion of Apprenticeship Training registration, candidates can apply for this position online through GRSE website (www.grse.in) from 29 February to 21 March 2020.
